Unfriendly environment
www.ntv.co.ke Drive In primary school in Nairobi’s Ruaraka area is under siege. The city council-run school is now the meeting point for vagabonds who walk in and out at will, thanks to the non existence of a perimeter fence . The school which has been in existence for 24 years is in a derelict condition, and as Martina Akinyi found out, the administration has to chase away drunkards on a daily basis in their battle to keep learning going.

Learning conditions under colonial gov’t were better…sell ONE of the GK 4X4 fuel guzzlers and u transform this school in 24 hours. (Lol…I know teacher Florence Kisala!)
this is terrible!!..if this is the conditions we expose to the little ones..then we have a long way to go as a nation…most of this kids won’t learn, later they drop out of school and eventually they become thugs!!
What the hell has become of the Nairobi City Council? Do any of the MPS’ or Nairobi City Council representatives’ kids attend this school? I am sure not! They go to private schools because they can afford it. What about the rest of the wanainchi?
this is a big shame.i wonder what became of the free primary education policy if these are the conditions in our primary schools.
aii, i remember our school had fence n no from outside was allowed in without permission. this is a disgrace
@siasabora, this is bad. no wonder a serial killer like onyanca can just go on a killing spree if this how our children r left exposed to the masses in schools
@K The area MP is a woman( I expected more sensitivity in the gender).Tthese school children and their counterparts in Mogadishu/Toa Bora IraQ share something in common now: bombed out classrooms!
This is such a disgrace, thanks to the media for highlighting the plight of this school before the are MP who seems to sleeping. I hope action will be taken now by the Nairobi city council.
