The Sword in the Stone Cares About the Environment
I have spent months on and off on this video, even months before Plants4 was banned, and now it’s finally done! As such, it’s my proudest accomplishment so far. What this is is a compilation of every single bit of recycled animation I found after watching this movie 20+ times in a matter of two or so weeks. We all know recycled animation; it’s prominent in Japanese anime, but I never expected this much to be in any form of media. There is so much recycled animation that it actually traverses between Disney movies. Even when I was making this, I stumbled upon some extra stuff that I had missed. Now behold the monolith of recycled animation in all of its unholiness. Almost all of the bits of recycling were found through watching several Disney movies several times. After doing some research, not only did I find more, but also discovered that there were three voice actors for the protagonist, which I tried hard to exploit in the same video.

While some of this is very legitimate animation re-use, the whole bit on “Presti-digitonium” seems a bit out of place. Of course he uses it a number of times. It’s his recurring magic words. It’s like how a bajillion magicians say “alakazam” or “hocus pocus.” It’s a play on the world “prestidigitation.”
lol its a puff ball :D
this is good inever even noticed some of this stuff
Hmm I could swear that i’ve heard that music before during the scene where robin hood climbs the tower trying to escape the fire. Sleeping beauty maybe`? And Jungle book?
damn, there’s so much re-used material, even going so far as seperate movies. and i now noticed that Arthur and Mowgli both walk the same..a campy walk. xD
Whoa-wet-whoa!
2:06 FAIL
Wow, this video is brilliant! You pointed out so many things. It’s pretty funny how many times they re-use animation and dialouge and I knew that there was something strange about how Arthur’s voice kept changing.
Love how they used the same models in different movies (Mogli and Sword in the Stone)
Recycled Animation… interesting :D
Ahaha, I only just noticed that Merlin is often called an ‘old goat.’ And then in the fight with Madam Mim, he actually transforms into an old goat~
I guess there goes my idea to compare certain disney movie with animation/voice actors.
Kay must’ve been really hungry in that scene.
Courtesy of imDb: Arthur was voiced by three different boys - Rickie Sorensen, Richard Reitherman and Robert Reitherman.
I could have sworn I’ve heard the “you’ve gotta keep a tight schedule around this place” in 101 Dalmatians. Or, at least the voice actor for the Colonel is the same :O
that dancing scene like 1:50ish is just like bippity boppity boo from cinderella.
oh come on, give them a break, they had to draw EVERY SINGLE FRAME by hand.
You’re right, but an entire five or so minutes of recycled animation is inexcusable; some of them don’t even work well.
way to go! but you still watched a disney movie 20 times in two weeks. aren’t you the least bit ashamed?
No, just wasted life.
1:27 you cant grow up…in fact that is why i am here!
LMAO XD
Some of these I can understand, such as his reaction after getting hit with the wand and the owl, but it’s amazing at how much is actually recycled in different ways. I love seeing similarities between several of the films.
1:58 that’s pretty much what disney was thinking when they recycled the footage
WOAH WIT WOOOAH
