And it is not just your government, it is basicly all governments in the world, and also 95% of all scientists (that has the environment as there speciality) that are trying to trick us, so that we will pay more tax.
It isn’t likely that we will solve many of the problems facing us, to name a few,accelerated soil erosion, prevention of pandemics, insufficent fresh water supplies, declining forest cover, declining soil productivity, and the destruction of ocean habitat sufficient to cause 17 of the 19 world’s major fisheries to be in catastrophic decline. The use of petrochemical fertilizers is causing long term soil productiviity loss. These are not opinions but the result of recent scientific research.
We don’t need to cull the population or need a eugenics policy. The education and empowerment of women results in smaller family sizes, stabilization of population numbers, and a decline in population in the long run (100+ years). This education includes programs to spread knowledge of birth control methods and availability of same. Instead we have stuck our heads in the sand circa 2001-2009 by cutting all international family planning aid to developing countries and worsened the problem.

We can’t continue to ignore this problem. Just as investments increase exponentially (divide 72 by an interest rate and the result is the numbers of years required to double the principle) so does population. So take the population growth rate of the world (appox. 2%) and the result is 13.4 billion people in 36 years (2046). We need to think in the long term, not the short term, roll up our sleeves and start working on this. The earth has a carrying capacity and to think we are exempt is
arrogant. There is a biological principle and methods to determine carrying capacity for domestic livestock and wildlife. The factors included in this determination are habitat space, quantity of food, water, and the capacity to dispose of waste products. Humans are turning the oceans into biological deserts as we speak. Take a look at fish catch data worldwide, declining species diversity, extinction, and quantities are rather clear. We can’t continue to bury our heads in the sand!

If you disagree with the assertion that te current increase in global temeratures is human caused then research the science. If you disagree with what I have said about population growth problems then read the science. Don’t quote statements made by John Stossel on 20/20 that don’t have any data to support them. Carl Sagen once said “here we are knee deep in garbage launching rockets into space.” It seems as though we are now knee deep in garbage arguing ideologies.

Good lord…the ignorance and blind obedience of some people really blow my mind. Bernie is one of the few REAL patriots in our Senate today. I’ve followed him for the last 30 years and he has been unwavering in his attacks on government, corporate greed, fictitious wars and programs in general that work against the working class. Climate change is real. Our grandchildren are not going to be happy as they sit down in their hazmat suits to a tasty meal of Soilent Green and boiled water.
