Oil Rig Environmental Concern
The oil rig that exploded in the Gulf of Mexico has the potential to become an environmental disaster, possibly spilling thousands of barrels of crude oil into the sea. Whit Johnson reports.

nothing like a day at the beach with oiled covered birds suffocating, petroleum burning and dead fish floating. This should really help Florida’s tourist economy if we off-shore drill.

Yeah – Florida and California here we come. Drill Baby Drill! You notice how all the Repukes are hiding? Bank reform. Mining blasts. Refinery fires. Where’s all those morons that want less regulation? If I owned an oil-rig I’d hire all Tea-Baggers and their families. I could make a lot of money off people that don’t mind being expendable.

Corporate Cadet Obama is a little bit unlucky, huh? Announces offshore drilling and then this happens. This thing could make the Exxon Valdez look like a soap bubble. I’m no expert but I don’t see any way to stop it. Seriously – dump concrete on it? Nup. Send down a diver with a monkey wrench? Don’t see it.
@Tobacc0 monkey wrench would work but he needs to have a beach towel to mop up all the oil and maybe a couple of screwdrivers

I have to spread the messages to religious people. We have extremely bad news from God’s messagers. 2012 is going to be real threat to the world. There will be earthquakes.
Because the wide spread of greed and people breaking tenth commandments laws and allowing Gays to be married, schools to accept evolution study, turn down against religious people, etc.

@kookiemoose its safe to say that an oil spill like this would destroy the majority of the economy in the city I live if something like this happend on the Florida coast. Frankly, I consume very little oil and would be happy to never buy another gallon of gas again. Off shore drilling isn’t only dangerous for the ecosystem and environment but its also not an effective solution to meet domestic demands for consumption or a realistic way to lower prices at the pump.
