Aren’t plastic bags also reusable? Are these “green” bags biodegradable? We’ve had them in australia for a couple of years now. The only advantage over plastic bags is that the bottom doesn’t fall out when it has a heavy item in it.
i wonder how much carbon they burn to produce these!

to bruthatim…….. look at it this way by using these bags less oil is being used to make the bags and plastic does lots of damage to the earth the green bags are made out of recycled stuff so they don’t end up in a landfill anyways which is good the bags never need to be thrown like plastic….i could go on but the other reasonable people can continue for me so yes they are good

You blow my mind, I never thought I’d meet someone this ignorant and negative. Go educate yourself, you can’t deny climate change and global warming, it’s AROUND US, we see the results every day.
I are going the highest form of normal education in Norway. and still its about as many reports that the global warming is going down compared to a hundred years ago. the thing is, that information does not sell magazines. its not worth any money, the bad news is.. open your mind, the thing is ppl can make money of global warming they cant make anything going: “oh hey nothings happenin, and it wont do anything if you buy this..” thanks for your reply, I like this litle chat.

My (very large) grocery store has been selling these at cost (no profit) for a couple years. They work great. They’re very tough, hold as much as a standard brown paper grocery bag. Handles don’t break, even with heavy loads. They’ve become very popular and most customers are using them. The ONLY disadvantage is that you do have to get into the habit of remembering to bring them along when you go grocery shopping.
