I agree that the environmentalist message is not always precise. Is it really the challenge of saving a planet, when it should be the challenge keeping livable the only planet we got. Its not the planet we want to save, we want to save our own asses. Clever.

The man wasn’t only a master of the English Language, he was probably one of the best social commentators of his time. I didn’t always agree with Carlin; but you can’t deny that he was a damn fine comedian and an extremely intelligent man. This bit in general is my favorite from his “later” era. Scathing and on point.

In an interview, he just saw it that it was dinosaurs, then (now) primates, and who knows, maybe insects next time.

Sure… or “GOD”.
Why does the unification of existence have to be labeled as a deity or being?
Because it is. It’s intelligence.
It’s not SIMPLY something that just “IS”.
Why? Why does the accumulation of all intelligence, or consciousness, have to be confined into the category of a God? Existence simply is, just as like you are simply you. We are all different forms of intelligence inside a conscious body that experiences one reality, our universe, out of an infinite number of temporary realities within existence. Why can’t we be the creaters of our own reality, rather than sitting around praying to a being that has no proof of even existing in the first place?
When I say “God”…. I’m not talking a old-man in the sky type deal. It’s something bigger than you that consciously created everything that is.
Everyone wants to be their own God, I suppose.
And we are the creators of our reality….. Everything happening on Earth right now is man’s creation. I don’t mean “God” in any traditional sense, as you seem to think I do.
Yes that’s true, I see that you use the term God in a Pantheistic view point. That’s way more respectable in a sense that I believe that God is an expression of nature and consciousness. I apologize for the confusion.
